Creates a learning community that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-regulation for every student.
- I have created a learning community that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-regulation for every student by allowing students to partake in the process of making rules for each center. It is important for students to help with this process because it ensures that they will interact with each other socially to help solve problems that they may encounter, and well as being able to be engaged in the center.
Develops and implements classroom procedures and routines that support high expectations for student learning.
- During my field experiences and student teaching experiences I implemented the existing classroom procedures and routines to support students learning. Routines are very important during preschool because it allows students to be aware of their learning. Having a picture schedule allows all students to see what is coming next in order to help with transitions.
